Get to Know Giulia!
Giulia Divina is an accomplished wellness professional with a rich and diverse background in the health and fitness industry that spans over two decades. Originally from Rome, Italy, Giulia has spent the latter half of her life in the vibrant and sunny San Francisco Bay Area, California, where she has cultivated a unique blend of Eastern and Western wellness practices.
Professional Journey
Giulia's journey in the wellness industry began with her passion for health and fitness and the concept of ‘self-care is heath care’. As a former amateur bodybuilder and fitness instructor, she developed a deep understanding of physical conditioning and the importance of holistic health. This passion led her to become an ACE certified personal trainer, and for over a decade, she helped countless individuals achieve their fitness goals through her tailored training programs.
In 2016, Giulia settled in Marina Bay, California, where she found the ideal environment to deepen her personal yoga practice and expand her professional offerings. Over the past 25 years, she has honed her skills in various forms of yoga, initially training in Ashtanga Yoga (with over 300 hours of intensive instruction from It’s Yoga! San Francisco). Through years of dedicated practice and experience, Giulia has developed her own signature yoga flow—a harmonious blend of gentle Vinyasa, restorative poses, and guided meditation.
Giulia's classes are known for their unique fusion of Italian passion and ancient wisdom, creating an immersive experience that combines body intuition, breath work, and deep relaxation. Her approach is designed to guide students on a transformative journey within, whether they are engaging in her hypnotic guided meditations or flowing through meticulously crafted yoga sequences.
Specializations and Certifications
Giulia’s expertise extends beyond yoga instruction and personal training. She is a certified Flexologist, specializing in deep, relaxing one-on-one assisted stretching sessions that emphasize the breath and full-body relaxation. Her sessions are designed to improve flexibility, reduce tension, and enhance overall quality of life through the power of mindful movement accompanied by quality breathing.
In addition to her yoga and flexibility training, Giulia is a certified provider of Tension Release Exercises (TRE), a method that helps individuals release deep-seated stress and tension from the body. She is also certified in TRX, Spinning, and Aerobics, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to comprehensive fitness and wellness practices.
Current Pursuits
Giulia is currently advancing her expertise by pursuing an Acupuncture license in the state of New Jersey, along with a PhD in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine. Her doctoral studies focus on orthopedics and musculoskeletal issues, further broadening her ability to provide full holistic care to her clients.
Teaching Philosophy
Giulia’s teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that quality of movement is directly related to quality of life. Her classes emphasize the importance of breath as a tool for deepening the practice, enhancing relaxation, and achieving optimal physical and mental well-being.
Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or new to yoga, Giulia’s classes offer a welcoming space for exploration and self-discovery. Her goal is to help each student connect with their inner self and achieve a state of balance and harmony, both on and off the mat.
